MILLIONS OF KINDLE FIRE TABLETS SOLD

Amazon is not known for giving precise sales figures of the Kindle devices. The company has always maintained that Kindle tops its list of best sellers. But exactly how many Kindles have been sold so far? Well, we don’t know but yesterday Amazon announced that the Kindle Fire and Kindle eReader family have been extremely popular this holiday season. Although the online retailer stopped short of giving exact sales figures, it did reveal some interesting details.

Amazon has sold ‘millions’ of Kindle Fire tablets since the tablet launched a couple of months ago. That means it is the most popular Android tablet to ever hit the market but that is hardly surprising. The Kindle Fire runs just $200. Nonetheless it has premium features such as a dual core processor and an IPS display. Android tablets with similar features usually start at around $400. 

Amazon has also revealed that the Kindle Fire has been the best selling product on Amazon.com for the past 13 weeks. The second and third best-selling devices are the Kindle Touch and Kindle eBook reader.
